Category Mixer FAQ
How does the Category Mixer work? +
Select up to 5 categories, choose how many questions you want, and hit Mix it! The game will draw questions equally from all your chosen categories and shuffle them together into one seamless session.
Why is 5 the maximum number of categories? +
Five categories strike the best balance between variety and coherence. With more categories the questions can feel disconnected and the game loses its flow. Five gives you great diversity while keeping conversations natural.

Which categories work best together? +
Popular combinations include Classic + Funny & Silly for casual gatherings, Travel & Adventure + Bucket List for travel buddies, and School & Childhood + Embarrassing for nostalgic catch-ups with old friends.

3 Rules for a Great Category Mix
Balance intensity
Pairing two high-intensity categories (Deep + Bold) can be overwhelming. Mix at least one lighter category as a "breather" between intense questions.
Match the group
Kids in the room? Mix Kids + Funny + Classic and leave out anything that requires life experience. Coworkers? Skip the personal and relationships categories.
Cap at 3โ4 categories
More than 4 categories dilutes each theme too much. The questions start to feel disconnected. 2โ3 categories is the sweet spot for a coherent experience.
Category Intensity Scale
Use this as a guide when deciding which categories to combine. Categories at similar intensity levels mix most naturally.
