How many questions are in a game?
There's no fixed limit - you play as many questions as you like and stop whenever you're ready, giving you complete control over session length.
There's no fixed number of questions per game - have.you is designed to be as long or as short as you want. The game keeps going until you decide to stop, making it perfect for a quick 10-minute warmup or a marathon 2-hour session.
For reference, here are some popular session lengths we've seen:
- Quick warmup - 5–10 questions, great for icebreakers at the start of a meeting
- Standard game night session - 20–40 questions over about 30–45 minutes
- Deep dive - 60+ questions for a long road trip or evening in
In multiplayer rooms, the host can set a question limit before starting the game if you want a defined endpoint. This is useful for competitive variants where you're scoring answers.
Questions are served in random order by default, so each session feels fresh even if you've played the same category before. We avoid repeating questions within a session - once a question has been shown, it won't come up again until you start a new game.
